The Education Board welcomes your attendance and appreciates your interest in our students. Informed and involved Community members who support education will help Salt River Pima-Maricopa Community Schools in preparing young people for a positive future.
At Salt River Schools, our mission is to “offer educational opportunities to lifelong learners of all ages in order to promote Community self-sufficiency and preserve the Onk Akimel O’Odham himdak and the Xalychidom Piipaash Huudioshxish for the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community.”
We are working to achieve this mission through providing:
o High-quality education and supports from cradle to careers;
o Opportunities for native studies grounded in the rich language and Cultural heritage; and
o A nurturing, safe learning environment in state-of-the-art facilities.
Regular board meetings are generally on the first and third Mondays of the month at 5:15 p.m. in the Education Board Room building, 4815 North Center St, Scottsdale, AZ 85256 (Center St & Chaparral Rd).
All regular, special and emergency meetings of the Education Board are open to the public except during executive sessions. Notices of all meetings are posted on this website, posted at the Education Administration at least 24 hours prior to each meeting, and posted at the seven Community Board locations as a Community service. Executive sessions may be called by the Education Board to discuss as permitted under applicable laws.
It’s a new day for Salt River Schools, and we look forward to connecting with children and families throughout the Community to highlight the excellent opportunities for students right here in our Community.
